Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly made yet another dig about prime minister Boris Johnson on last night’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
Fans were left in hysterics after the ITV legends referenced the Prime Minister amid claims of a “rule-breaking” Christmas party last year.
The double act reference their mention in Prime Minister’s Questions today as they poked fun at Boris.
Following the party, Allegra Stratton was seen joking about the alleged party, and Ant and Dec couldn’t help but make a not one but two digs at the Prime Minister and his aides over the clip.
Ant discussed how the campmates had hidden from David that his letter from home had been lost again after they lost the Castle Coin challenge.
Dec quickly jumped in saying: “Not a great idea that, is it?”
Ant replied: “If we’ve learned one thing in the last 24 hours, you can’t cover something up.”
Dec continued: “No, that will come back to bite them at some point. Might take a year – but it will happen.
“The situation was as clear as day, we all watched them getting the question wrong.
“It was obvious what happened. Even Ant and Dec are ahead of the Prime Minister – sorry… Danny Miller… on this one.”
He added: “Don’t worry, we’ll launch an enquiry on something – not that that’ll do anything.”
The presenting double act couldn’t help themselves and made another reference to the PMQs.
Ant said: “Anyway back to camp, where Frankie’s been hitting Naughty Boy with a few personal music questions,” before Dec added: “Or PMQs for short.”
Labour leader Sit Keir Starmer made a reference to the double-act after their savage digs at the PM for “rule-breaking” last Christmas.
He said: “We’ve all watched the video of the Prime Minister’s staff… they knew there was a party, they knew it was against the rules, they knew they couldn’t admit it, they thought it was funny.
“It’s obvious was happening. Ant and Dec are ahead of the Prime Minister on this. The Prime Minister has been caught red-handed.”
The Labour leader referred to the pairs Tuesday night episode of I’m A Celeb after they joked: “It is all changing in camp now because yesterday the celebs chose a new leader via the gift of a secret vote.”
Ant added: “And that means David’s reign is over. But they weren’t celebrating. They categorically deny any suggestions that they had a party. And this fictional party definitely didn’t involve cheese and wine, or a Secret Santa.”
Dec responded: “Evening Prime Minister… for now.”
