Louise Minchin rows with I’m A Celebrity co-stars as they brand her bossy before axe

Louise Minchin might not be regretting her I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! exit quite so much, as she was engaged in a tense row with fellow campmate David Ginola ahead of her axe.

The camp was busy completing morning chores at Gwrych Castle in North Wales before the day’s Bushtucker Trial and challenge – but things didn’t go to plan.

After the pub night on Thursday, Louise wondered aloud to her fellow campers: “Who’s feeling a little bit hungover?”

Frankie replied: “I feel like I’ve not even been to bed. It was the best.”

But Louise was desperate to get ready for the day, as she rallied the troops: “Come on everybody, we’ve got beans to eat.”

And as Matty pointed out he had other things to do before cooking, things turned tense – though Louise tried to keep spirits high by announcing: “Everybody can all muck in! Team, muck in!”

But she branded their behaviour “frustrating” in the Telegraph.

“It’s really frustrating, nothing can happen unless someone else has done their job. We can’t have breakfast because the pans aren’t clean.

“We can’t have the pans clean because the boiler is not lit. The boiler is not lit because there’s only a little bit of wood…” she explained.

But David snapped: “Don’t go too bossy Louise. Don’t take your leadership too seriously. No, no, honestly. It’s fine, but take it down.”

Louise fumed: “If we do that, we won’t eat.”

Explaining his own stance, David said: “It’s very simple, I said to Louise, ‘Don’t take it seriously, please. Stay calm, OK.’ It’s just a role in the Castle. Don’t patronise, please, don’t do that.”

Speaking to Frankie, Louise murmured: “I’ve also had a telling off by David Ginola. You need to calm down your leadership. I said nothing [back], I just got everybody moving this morning. I just don’t like being told off by anybody.”

Frankie congratulated Louise on doing a good job, as she reassured her: “That’s the job you’ve been given, I don’t think you’re being an a*** about it. Don’t let it bother you, because you’ve not done anything.”

And after that fiery exchange, it’s likely a relief for Louise to exchange the camp for the luxury of home.

Louise was the fifth celebrity to be voted out of the castle, following in the footsteps of Snoochie Shy, Arlene Phillips, Kadeena Cox and Naughty Boy.

Richard Madeley, meanwhile, was forced to quit after a hospital dash left him breaking the Covid bubble, and was unable to return to the castle.
