Kim Kardashian 'files to become legally single' and wants to drop 'West' surname

It has been reported that Kim Kardashian has filed to become legally single, something that has come to light after her ex Kanye West desperately tried to win her back.

Not only does Kim want to be declared ‘single’ – but she wants to drop West from her name so she’s completely detached from her estranged husband.

Kanye, who recently changed his name to Ye, has continued to make public declarations of love, directed at his wife after they parted ways.

It’s clear that the rapper wants to make their marriage work, but it seems as though Kim has moved on completely.

Kim wants to drop ‘West’ from her name

The Kardashian beauty is now dating Pete Davidson from America’s hit show Saturday Night Live, which has left Kanye publicly declaring his love for his ex left, right and centre.

Reports from TMZ have shown that Kim has filed new documents as a part of her divorce, asking to be legally declared as single, while she waits for the official documents to go through.

Filing the documents just a matter of days ago, she is supposedly asking the judge to separate the issues of child custody and property from her marital status.

The pair got wed in 2014, but Kim filed for divorce in February 2021

It has also been alleged that Kim wants to drop West from her name, a name she took on and added to hers when she and Kanye tied the knot back in 2014.

During the week, Kanye was on stage in LA, with Kim apparently in the audience with their daughter, when he made a bid to win back the mother of his children.

He changed the lyrics from his song Runaway from “runaway from me baby” to “I need you to run right back to me,” as well as adding: “More specifically Kimberly.”

The couple’s marriage broke down back in February when Kim filed for divorce.
