Lisa Armstrong has had a challenging 12 months following her divorce from her ex-husband Ant McPartlin.
The 45-year-old made sure she didn’t go without a fight and managed to secure £31 million of the Geordie star’s £50 million fortune after their divorce was settled in April last year.
And the professional makeup artist made sure to subtly share her disappointment after one half of the TV double act wed his former personal assistant Anne-Marie Corbett just a few months later.
Although, it’s not just her former husband who the has been victim to the Strictly Come Dancing star’s sharp tongue after many of the professional dancers have confessed in the past.
Even Dec and several of his team members have felt the brunt of blonde bombshell’s harsh words in the past few years.
But as Lisa enters the new year with her new man ready to wipe the slate clean, the Daily Star has taken a deep dive into the dramatic off-screen rows.
Bitter divorce row
After 11 years of marriage, Ant and Lisa finally announced they were separating after months of rumours swirling around the pair after her ex-husband was seen getting close with his former PA.
According to The Sun, it was Ant’s decision to end the marriage following a series of emotional face-to-face meetings with Lisa.
Their relationship first started to buckle under pressure following his addiction to painkillers after knee surgery.
It was only a few months later that Ant confirmed his relationship with Anne-Marie and it’s fair to say the makeup artist was fuming to hear the news second hand.
Rather than releasing an official statement, the make-up artist went on to like a number of cryptic tweets whilst she was going through the divorce as fans of the former couple shared their opinions online.
One tweet she liked read: “I bet the money means nothing in some respects, it certainly can’t but the respect she deserves of the make up for the s****y spineless way he scurried off & tried to silence her.
“Whatever the sum is I’m sure it will be put to much better use & I wish her all the best,” followed by a love heart emoji.
Another tweet she liked theorised: “After 2 years coming off prescribed pain meds my hubby took the back lash, the moaning, the mood swings, the full c**p but 18yrs of marriage, loyalty and LOVE & we were still together, I think Ant is hiding something or someone so sorry huni.”
And her feud between the I’m A Celeb host and his new partner continued right up to their wedding day, as the talented artist went on to like another cryptic tweet which noted there would be “terrible weather” on the new couple’s wedding day.
A follower tweeted her directly to say: “Terrible weather in Hampshire today” which was where the two love birds exchanged vows in front of friends and family.
Their decade-long marriage officially ended in October 2018 after Ant admitted to adultery at the Central Family Court in London.
After their divorce, Lisa fought to take home half of his mass fortune following his admittance to cheating during their marriage.
Along with the whopping £31 million, Lisa also won the right to keep the pair’s former £5 million home in West London but agreed to share permanent custody of their sweet dog Hurley.
Declan Donnelly swipe
But the Saturday Night Takeaway host wasn’t the only one who felt the wrath of Lisa’s fury, as the blonde belle went on to end her friendship with her ex-husband’s best friend Declan Donnelly and his wife Ali Astall, according to reports.
Following the couple’s nasty split in 2018, Lisa was believed to be “devastated” that Dec and Ali took Ant’s side over hers despite the fact that the Geordie lad had confessed to adultery.
A source close to the two couples told The Sun at the time that Lisa was furious that the former friends have kept their distance after being such good friends for so long.
“After what has gone on, the divided loyalties have become obvious,” the insider said.
“[Lisa’s] really put out that Dec and Ali have totally sided with Ant over all of this. Even though Ant and Dec have always been best mates, she thought they would still remain close even after the split.”
The source went on to add that Lisa felt isolated by her exclusion from the tight-knit friendship group during a dark period in her life when she needed the support of her friends the most.
“It’s another complication in a situation which has got extremely messy,” they added.
Lisa has known the pair ever since they first met on the Smash Hits tour in Newcastle in 1994 where Ant and Lisa went on to date for 11 years before they decided to tie the knot with Dec as the best man during the wedding ceremony.
And it’s fair to say the trio have been close friends ever since their teenage years, as they attended many showbiz events and family gatherings together as a unit.
Following her split from her ex-husband, Lisa appeared to extend a hand of friendship to Dec when she ‘liked’ a tweet from him when he announced he was expecting his first child with his wife Ali.
But it appears as though her offer fell on deaf ears, as the artist went on to take a nasty swipe at the comedy duo and their team after they celebrated their 20th National Television Award win back in September.
The starlet left a shocking Instagram comment on the team’s announcement post which suggested the pair had “screwed over” other people in the business to get to where they are today.
Luckily PR guru Simon Jones, who represents Ant and Dec, Little Mix, Louis Tomlinson and many more, snapped back in response to her bitter comment.
He wrote: “@lisaarmstrongmakeup Lisa, please don’t come on to my Instagram with your negativity and false accusations.
“It really is about time you moved on and got on with your life, and stopped unfairly blaming other people for your mistakes.”
Strictly feuds
Outside of her feuds following her separation from one half of the Telly double act, Lisa Armstrong has also admitted that she has to “pick her battles” when it comes to working with Strictly Come Dancing professionals and their celebrity partners.
The make-up artist is responsible for coming up with the unique looks for each dancer on the epic Saturday night show, in line with the dance they performing in addition to the emotion and intention that they are trying to convey.
But things don’t always go smoothly out on the dance floor as Strictly It Takes Two host Janette Manrara explained that celebs often want their own say in their look.
She asked: “How involved do the pros and celebs get when it comes to their looks? Because they must have their own opinions, don’t they?”
Lisa replied: “Yes, they do, of course they do. And obviously because they’ve been running that routine for the whole week before we’ve even got a chance to see it, in their mind they’re thinking exactly how they want it to look, and their vision.
“So, sometimes when it’s big concept looked they come to us and say, ‘I was thinking this, could I have my makeup like this …?’
She added: “But it is actually our job to do that. So, we do want them to feel comfortable, obviously we do take into consideration what they’re saying, and you kind of work together because you want them to be happy as well.”
Jeanette interjected: “It’s a lot of people to make happy!” to which she agreed: “Yeah, so you have to pick your battles!”
