I’m A Celebrity winner Danny Miller broke down in tears of joy when he saw his baby son Albert for the first time after being surprised on ITV’s Lorraine.
The former Emmerdale star has just won I’m A Celeb – being crowned the show’s first King of the Castle on Sunday (December 12) after making it to the final.
Danny beat Corrie legend Simon Gregson and Loose Women star Frankie Bridge to bag the crown – becoming the first ever male winner of the show since it has been set in Gwrych Castle in Wales.
However, Danny was in for another huge surprise when he appeared on Lorraine’s daytime show, because he got a surprise visit from his fiancé Steph and their baby son Albert.
As Danny had been isolating in North Wales before doing the hit reality show due to Covid guidelines, he’d never met his seven-week-old baby boy before and had to miss the first few weeks of his life.
So it was understandable when the actor grew emotional on air when he saw the little bundle on screen as well as his beau Steph.
Speaking to Lorraine after his huge win, Danny said: “I’m alright, I’m a little bit tired. A little bit tipsy! But you know what, I’m here.
“I’m thankful for you having me on your show.”
Danny started laughing as he stumbled on his words before Lorraine revealed her special surprise for Danny – Steph and Albert.
She replied: “It is so lovely to see you! But do you know what, we’re also joined by your fiancé Steph and wee baby Albert, who I believe is seven weeks today.”
Steph, who appeared on the screen from Danny’s home town of Stockport, replied: “Yeah, he’s seven weeks today.”
Lorraine replied: “He’s so gorgeous!”, and Danny could be seen clasping his hand over his mouth as he welled up over the tot.
Danny started sobbing as he cried out: “Oh darling!”.
Steph got emotional herself and replied: “We’ve missed you so much, Danny. We just want you to come home, now.”
Lorraine gushed at the adorable family moment, and she pointed out Danny tearing up like he did on the show and said: “He’s away, he’s off again!”
Danny added that he loved Steph “so much”, and apologised to Lorraine if she felt awkward during their family reunion, but Lorraine assured him that it wasn’t.
Later on, he said: “I wasn’t expecting this. This is a set-up, Lorraine.
“The whole reason I did [I’m A Celeb] was because I wanted to show the country I wasn’t just Aaron off Emmerdale.
“Steph was the reason for me doing it – she pushed me forward. She was the reason I did it, her and Albert.”
He also quipped that it would be the worst interview Lorraine would ever do in her life.
