Cheryl is said to be left feeling ‘disappointed’ after, friend, Simon Cowell chose Gary Barlow, 50, over her to be a panelist on his new TV show Walk The Line, which aired yesterday.
Walk the Line is a brand new musical game show from Simon Cowell and will made its debut on ITV this weekend, and Simon revealed he had built bridges with Gary to include him on the show.
A source told OK!: “She wanted to be a part of Simon Cowell’s new show Walk The Line, but that didn’t happen.”
The source added: “She didn’t understand why he brought Gary Barlow in when he’s quite publicly said he doesn’t get on with Gary.”

Alongside the Take That star, the competition’s panelists include TV personality Alesha Dixon, who has also worked with Simon on X Factor and BGT, Comedian Dawn French and pop legend Craig David, with TV personality Maya Jama as the show’s presenter.
The show puts musicians to the test and proves that talent alone isn’t the only element to win them some big money.
With up to £500,000 up for grabs, contestants will need balls of steel as they determine whether to cash out or physically Walk the Line and risk it all to stay in the competition – proving you have to go hard or go home.

With no room for Cheryl on the judging panel, the source said: “Simon promised her that he would give her another TV show, but this podcast just hasn’t worked out for her.”
Cheryl recently pulled out from proceeding with her podcast a few days ago after raising that she didn’t feel it was quite right to revisit the project following the death of former Girls Aloud bandmate Sarah Harding.
“Cheryl was a huge star, she was the nation’s sweetheart at one point, and she’s now stepping back and taking a think about things.” said the source.
Speaking about her friend, Sarah Harding, 39, who unfortunately died after her battle with breast cancer.
On Instagram, Cheryl wrote : “Although we knew this day would arrive I am somehow still feeling at a loss for words that our stunning, unique, crazy, quirky, kind and soft hearted girl has departed,” she wrote on Instagram.
There have only been four episodes of the 12-part series that share “stories of her youth and love for R&B music, from TLC to Beyoncé”.
