Two former CBBC stars are dating after finding fame as youngsters in The Story of Tracy Beaker and The Queen’s Nose.
As children, actors Ciaran Joyce and Lucinda Dryzek starred in two of the BBC ’s most popular children’s programmes of all time.
The Queen’s Nose and The Story of Tracy Beaker are two instantly recognisable names in early 2000s British culture, and two of their most memorable characters are currently dating.
Ciaran, now 34, played cheeky Lol, Bouncer’s younger brother and Dumping Ground resident, from 2003 to 2006.
His first appearance in series three was in the episode Back And Bad and the avid chef remained a beloved part of the show until his departure in series five.
The Story Of Tracy Beaker, one of the most nostalgic TV shows for any nineties baby, followed young and unruly Tracy and her antics as she navigated home in the care system.
Nicknamed the Dumping Ground, her care home housed a number of memorable characters including Justine Littlewood, Rio Wellard, Bouncer and his younger brother Lawrence, nicknamed Lol for short.
The show, based on the book of the same name by children’s author Jacqueline Wilson, saw intense popularity and sparked numerous spin-off series including Tracy Beaker Returns, The Dumping Ground and My Mum Tracy Beaker, which aired earlier this year and saw actress Dani Harmer return as the iconic lead character.
Ciaran’s girlfriend, 30-year-old Lucinda, also played a well known CBBC character.
Dryzek played Jake’s cousin Gemma who appeared in the seventh and final series of the show.
The Queen’s Nose was broadcast from 1995 to 1998 and followed a young girl named Harmony as she was granted 10 wishes by a magic coin by rubbing the Queen’s nose.
The coin changed hands four times over the course of the series, from Harmony to Dino, then Sam to Jake.
In 2000 the series saw a four-season revival despite the absence of main character Harmony, and the reboot ended in 2003.
Many faithful fans thought that the later series strayed too far from the original books written by Dick King-Smith.
Almost two decades after they made their initial appearances on our screens, Joyce and Dryzek seem smitten with each other.
Lucinda first appeared on Ciaran’s Instagram in May this year, but no official date has been mentioned and there are no clues as to how they met.
Ever since, the pair often share sweet snaps enjoying each other’s company, most recently after a staycation in West Sussex.
Ciaran captioned his post: “A perfect time. A perfect person. A perfect place.”
