Strictly Come Dancing star Dan Walker has taken to Instagram to share his ‘lonesome’ appearance on BBC Breakfast as he presented the show by himself in a major programme shake-up.
On his Instagram story, Dan posted a picture of him all suited and booted and sitting alone on the iconic red BBC Breakfast chair as he presented the show single handedly.
It’s a huge change from his usual stance on the show, as he usually presents alongside Sally Nugent after she permanently replaced former host Louise Minchin.
Captioning the snap, Dan wrote: “Anyone fancy a job on the sofa this morning? I’m flying solo on Breakfast today. Enjoy the leftovers.”
The Strictly Come Dancing star posted the same picture on his main page, as he teased that he was desperate for a co-host.
He captioned the picture: “What are you up to this morning? I’m a lonesome cowboy on the @bbcbreakfast sofa and am working my way through some mince pies and miniature heroes. Join if you fancy it.”
Dan typically hosts the show alongside the likes of Sally Nugent and Naga Munchetty since Louise Minchin left earlier this year.

But with his fellow presenters enjoying Christmas at home, Dan was left to update fans on the topics of the day.
Despite being on his own, viewers were thrilled to see Dan on their screens this morning and were quick to celebrate his solo performance.
One wrote: “You did a great job, Dan!”
Another added: “Aw looks very different you sat on your own, hope you have a great day Dan x”.
Dan impressed Strictly Come Dancing fans with his performances this year alongside professional dancing partner Nadiya Bychkova.
The pair missed out on the semi-final and final after being pipped by eventual winner Rose Ayling Ellis and AJ Odudu, John Whaite, and Rhys Stephenson.

He surprised his former Strictly partner Nadiya with a Christmas present this week.
He shared a photo of Nadiya proudly holding up a customised painting celebrating their time on the dancing show and everything she loved about Sheffield – Nadiya relocated to Sheffield while working on Strictly with Dan where he lives with his family.
Responding to the emotional post, the Ukrainian-Slovenian dancer replied: “Partner, you are THE BEST.
“It’s a perfect gift, THANK YOU so much! Merry Christmas partner to you and your beautiful family.”
