Scarlett Moffatt wants to 'cry and stay in bed for a week' amid show rehearsals

Former Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt shared with her two million Instagram followers that she wanted to “cry and stay in bed for a few weeks” amid rehearsals for a new show.

The I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! 2016 winner was putting on a brave face, however, as she insisted she didn’t want to “let people down”.

Scarlett who is scheduled to perform in a pantomime in Sussex in the coming days, took to her Instagram Stories, where she shared how low she was feeling but reassured fans she wouldn’t let audiences down.

It’s her second pantomime, and she’s starring in Cinderella at Crawley.

Whilst sitting backstage, Scarlett posted a selfie of her dressed in her panto costume.

On top of the selfie she’d posted, Scarlett had written: “One of them days when you just want to cry and stay in bed for a week”.

Although the star didn’t reveal why she was feeling so low, she then added: “However, I will not let people down as I know some people are coming to panto to see me, so I shall be there giving off my fairy godmother cheeriness.”

The former Goggleboxer celebrated Christmas with her boo

Despite her low period, Scarlett has been enjoying her time in panto so far, explaining ahead of taking to the stage: “I am a massive panto fan. I always went. It was a tradition that we would go.

“We would go to the Sunderland Empire and the first ever performance I saw was the Chuckle Brothers in Peter Pan. I would have been about five. It would have been about 1996.”

She added: “And it just felt so magical. We were sitting right at the top looking down on the stage, and I was just thinking that this was something I wanted to do myself one day.”

Scarlett’s dampened mood comes less than 24 hours after the star had taken to Instagram to gush about her boyfriend Scott who came to visit her over Christmas.

The I’m A Celeb winner shared a selection of loved up snaps of the pair with the caption: “Thanks to my bestie and soulmate for coming down so we could celebrate in London together.”

Followed by: “I wasn’t feeling 100% as I got the Xmas cold but the day couldn’t have been more perfect.”
