TV viewers claim the clues in the new series of The Masked Singer are too hard to crack.
The ITV show returned for its third series on Saturday night with a peak audience of 4.8million.
M People singer Heather Small was unveiled at the end of the episode as Chandelier.
None of the TV judges guessed correctly as to who was hiding behind the disguise.
And at home viewers were stumped and complained the clues are far too cryptic.
Heather herself admitted afterwards: “The clues were so abstract. It wouldn’t have been easy for the panel.”
The ‘‘hints’’ to her identity included a ship on her head representing her initials HMS (Heather Margarita Small).
Fans flooded social media with rants including “The Masked Singer just gets harder and harder… these “clues” are ridiculous”, “Even Miss Marple couldn’t crack this lot”, “I thought clues were there to be helpful”.
TV judge and star of the popular guessing show Davina McCall admitted the producers did all they could to stop them guessing who was behind the mask.
She said: “What happens is we start guessing something and then the next week the producers think ‘We’re going to plant some clues that could either be that person or it could be the actual person inside the costume.’
“So, we slightly get led off down a completely different path.”
This comes as Gloria Hunniford was rumbled by fans in a matter of minutes after singing Big Spender on Sunday night’s show.
Fans took to Twitter almost instantly, predicting that the star of Loose Women was behind the mask of the regal Snow Leopard.
The green jacket hinted at Gloria’s Irish roots, while the regality of the snow leopard’s persona related to her Hollywood connections.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Woop.woop week one and I got one right!!!!!”
Another added: “1 point out of 2 to my Mom, she got Gloria Hunniford correct for Snow Leopard!”
A third person posted: “I got Gloria Hunniford correct ! I’m so happy lol”
While a fourth social media user wrote: “I knew Snow Leopard was Gloria Hunniford #maskedsingeruk”
