The 64-year-old ITV icon, took to TikTok to tell fans that her mystery partner of four years had asked for her hand in marriage, while they were on a hike together at New Year.

Although Trisha has been proposed to in the past, she gleefully explained it had been the first time that she hadn’t had to buy the ring herself.

“When you’re 64 you more scared of your kids than what your Mammy and Pappy g’wan say!

“But moi? I’m on bl**dy Cloud Nine!”

The proposal seemed to take Trisha completely by surprise – and it’s no shock given she’d detailed her turbulent past relationships on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories.

In the same interview with the former GMB newsreader, Trisha explained how she’d suffered a breakdown following the birth of her daughter Billie.

When talking to Piers about the thought of ending her own life, she said: “Everybody is serious. There’s no such thing as a cry for help. Everybody’s serious if you get to that stage.

“And to me it was about just not wanting to be or feel that pain anymore.

“What brought me back is my baby needed breastfeeding.

“And there was a nurse there called Elaine. And Elaine, if you’re watching this, you know, you saved my life. Never mind about the psychiatrist, this one nurse.

“People were talking about taking my children away from me and that would have been the end.

“And Elaine brought toys for Billie to play with. She allowed me to be a mum and she watched and she told me I was a good mum.”
