Nigella Lawson will be blowing out 62 candles on her cake this evening, as she celebrates a landmark birthday in style.
Three decades after she first carved out a career as a chef, Nigella looks as radiant as ever.
First rising to fame in the 90s, the “domestic goddess” quickly became renowned for her ingenious bakes – and stunning good looks.
Growing up in a small town in Wales, Nigella later moved to London to work in a department store, before heading to Oxford University to study.
Launching her career in journalism, the brunette bombshell launched her first-ever cookbook, How to Eat, in 1998.

When the culinary guide skyrocketed to success worldwide, the mum-of-two went on to publish several more hit books including Domestic Goddess and Feast.
On top of writing cookbooks, she launched her successful TV career with Nigella Bites in 1999, which ran until 2001.
Cooking from her home in London, the Brit beauty was adored by viewers up and down the country, cementing her status as a sex symbol.

Speaking to Metro in 2007, Nigella reflected on her legendary presenting style – which famously attracting quite a few admirers.
She said: “It’s not meant to be flirtatious. … I don’t have the talent to adopt a different persona. It’s intimate, not flirtatious”.
That same year, she opened up about her love for lingerie in a candid interview with The Telegraph.

She explained: “Stockings never fail to make you feel sexy. I like hold-ups, but the problem is if you’ve got too much meat at the top, you get a bulge there. So I often wear those over-the-knee French schoolgirl socks.
“But I know men like the whole strappy thing of suspenders, so I’ll wear them. In fact, thinking about it, I’ve actually worn them with nothing but a pair of shoes in bed before.”
The bestselling author has landed the title of “Sexiest Celebrity Chef”, and is often praised for her sensational fashion sense.

Despite her sizzling status, the TV chef insisted her stunning good lucks are simply a trick of camerawork.
Speaking to The Weekend Australian Magazine in 2018, she modestly admitted: “TV is glamorising.
“I always think I must be a bit of a messy disappointment when people meet me in real life.”
