Karren Brady makes savage dig at The Apprentice 2022 stars after 'disastrous' errors

Karren Brady revealed her thoughts on this year’s candidates on The Apprentice 2022 – and she had some savage words for the budding BBC entrepreneurs.

Business tycoon Karren, 52, has worked alongside Lord Sugar on The Apprentice for years – acting as his aide and sitting beside him in the boardroom.

However, the beautiful business executive also observes the 16 candidates when they’re out in the field on their various televised tasks – often bringing back bombshell insights on their performances to Lord Sugar.

Giving fans a sneak peek, Karen spoke to BBC’s Morning Live on Thursday (January 6) – and revealed her brutally honest opinion on this year’s candidates.

It comes just before the Series 16 of The Apprentice returns to BBC One at 9pm on Thursday night.

Karen said: “They all have one thing in common. They all think they’re great, and you’ll see in tonight’s episode that some of them are definitely not great.

“It starts with a cracker where Alan sends them off to a cruise ship to design a branding, an advert and a logo for this new cruise ship experience.”

Brady then ripped into the brand logo – designed by the boys’ team- branding it a “mouldy banana” as it was shown in the studio.

“I mean that is it, look at that logo. I will say it looks like a mouldy banana, or even worse than that,” hinting that it looked rather phallic instead of anything professional.

Brady, who had been following the boys on Thursday night’s episode, continued: “Seriously, cruises are very expensive and when you’re looking forward to booking their cruise, and if you saw one that looked like a mouldy, rotten banana that’s all brown, you wouldn’t be encouraged to spend thousands of pounds…”

Karen added that the girls had tried to design a ‘bouji’ cruise, but none of them seemed to know what it meant.

She summed up the first episode by saying: “It starts with a big bang tonight with some disastrous results and some laugh-out-loud moments – when you’ll be really shouting at the television.”

Karen is the former managing director of Birmingham City F.C – and is the current vice-chairman of West Ham United F.C.
