Another penned: “We are so ready! bring on 2022.”

The London-born star has said that her latest album 30 is an attempt to explain her divorce from her husband to her nine-year-old son Angelo.

The album made headlines after it became 2021’s fastest-selling album, even overtaking Abba.

Its 261,000 first-week chart sales mean it sped past the Swedish pop group’s comeback album Voyage, which opened with 204,000.

Adele’s success in 2021 had been monumental, her US TV special was watched by more people than the Grammys and the Oscars.

Her British equivalent, An Audience With Adele, was a unique and special night at the legendary London Palladium and drew a peak audience of 5.4 million viewers, helping ITV achieve its biggest Sunday night of the year.

The ITV special had seen a steller celebrity audience turn up to support the music mogul’s latest album – familiar faces included Emma Watson, comedian Alan Carr, rapper Stormzy, singer Dua Lipa, and more.

Her first single from her latest album, ’30’, ‘Easy On Me’, which has over 533,000,000 streams on Spotify, is now Adele’s longest-running chart-topper, outstripping Someone Like You.
