Riko Shibata
Nicolas met Riko Shibata in Shiga, Japan just over a year before they married in Las Vegas in 2020.
The actor married the 26 year old on February 16, the same day as his late father’s birthday.
Nicolas married Riko at the Wynn Casino and Hotel in Vegas less than two years after his fourth wife Erika Koike, who he was married to for just four days.
The Hollywood icon’s wife is four years younger than the star’s first son, Weston Cage.
In a sweet surprise, the pair announced that they were expecting their first baby together as their publicist told People that the duo are “elated” about the news.
This will be Nicolas’ third child and Riko’s first, with the actor having two other children from previous relationships, 16-year-old Kal-El and 31-year-old Weston.
Patricia Arquette
The actor’s first wife was Oscar-winning actress Patricia Arquette.
The couple married in 1995 after Nicolas proposed to her on the spot.
In an interview in 2018, Nicolas had asked the actress for a “quest” that he could complete to get her to marry him.
Patricia said on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen: “I wrote all these things that I thought were impossible: Getting J.D. Salinger’s autograph, a Hill tribe wedding costume, steal me a Bob’s Big Boy statue, a black orchid, all these things.”
However, she was not expecting him to complete the list.
She added: “We were just kids, I was 19 and he was like, ‘And you’re gonna marry me soon.’
“I was like, ‘No, man, we’ve never even gone on a date. Let’s slow it down.'”
Years later, Patricia said she told him: “‘I’m ready to get married’.”
The pair’s divorce was finalised in 2001.
Lisa Marie Presley
Nicolas met the daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley at a party in 2000.
Lisa Marie Presley and the actor married two years later in 2002.
Three months later the couple filed for divorce which was finalised in 2004.
In an interview with Barbara Walters in 2003, Nicolas said: “Often times when you have two people who are very strong and their own personalities, and rather intense, sometimes you can have a hard time meshing.
“We got into this unfortunate pattern of breaking up and getting back together again… yeah it’s sad, I miss her every day.
“Sometimes I wish we couldn’t have rushed the marriage and sometimes I regret rushing the divorce. But it just seemed like it wasn’t going to change.”
Alice Kim
Alice Kim is the Ghost Rider actor’s longest marriage to date.
The then 40 year old met the former waitress when she was just 19 at a restaurant, which she worked at in 2004.
Despite the 20-year age gap, the couple wed two months later at a private ranch in northern California.
Nicolas told the Guardian in 2013: “When my mother-in-law came to the house for the first time, before even hello or nice to meet you, all I got was, ‘she too young!’ And so I knew this was going to be an uphill battle.
“We did it because we loved each other.”
A year after their wedding, Kim gave birth to the couple’s only child, son Kal-El.
Nicolas is also father to son Weston from his relationship with Christina Fulton.
The couple separated in 2016 and their divorce was finalised a year later.
Nicolas admitted that the split was “a shocker for me – I definitely didn’t see it coming.”
Erika Koike
Nicolas’ shortest marriage was to makeup artist Erika Koike, whom he married in Las Vegas in 2019.
The pair had dated for a year before they married.
Their marriage only lasted for four days after the star tried to have an annulment claiming he was “too drunk” to get married.
In court documents obtained by The Blast, the actor said they were both intoxicated and he “lacked understanding of his actions in marrying [Koike] to the extent that he was incapable of agreeing to the marriage.”
In 2019, the pair were granted a divorce.
