Katie Price shared a family announcement on Instagram before bidding goodbye to Harvey as she sends him off to residential college.
The 43-year-old mum of five wrote: “Love this picture of Harvey back at college starting his morning walks. He’s still got that b****y iPad,” she joked.
Harvey is one of Katie’s five children. Katie shares Princess and Junior Andre with her ex-husband Peter Andre, and shares Bunny and Jett with Kieran Hayler.
Harvey, who’s father is footballer Dwight Yorke, was born in 2002 and diagnosed with septo-optic dysplasia.
This rare genetic disorder affects his eyesight and he was also diagnosed with autism and Prader-Willi syndrome, which can cause learning difficulties and behavioural problems.
Katie Price documented Harvey’s transition to college in the documentary Katie Price: Harvey and Me.
Once his 18th birthday arrived the star had to begin thinking about his further education as an adult: “It’s not straightforward, where you can just choose a college. They have to have the right nursing team and know how to deal with his challenging behaviour.”
The former glamour model, who is currently engaged to Carl Woods, also recently appeared on ITV’s Good Morning Britain with her son Harvey and addressed comments that were made about her recent run in with the law.
Katie says that people “shouldn’t judge her”, admitted to being “ashamed about it” and acknowledged that things could have been “very different”.
When police arrived on the scene of the crash, tests revealed that there was cocaine in her system and was nearly twice the legal alcohol limit.
Katie has also landed a role in a new Channel 4 show about mental health following the crash.
A source told OK!: “Katie is working with Channel 4 on the pilot for a new show about mental health awareness this year, which she’s really excited about.”
“She’s on the recovery path herself and is really committing to her weekly therapy sessions, staying sober and exercising.”
The star has recently been trying to get herself back on the straight and narrow. Katie spent Christmas with her family, one half with Carl’s side and one half with her mum.
She shared multiple family pictures over the festive period, showing her children and her terminally ill mum Amy celebrating together.
