Bozyone star Keith Duffy has paid a touching tribute to his “brave warrior” dad in a heartfelt Instagram post.
The former Coronation Street actor, 47, remembered his father by posting a joint tribute from himself and his son Jay.
Alongside the sweet snap, Keith posted: He wrote: “Séan Duffy 1945 – 2022
“Words cannot describe how heartbroken we are to announce the passing of our father/grandfather Séan.
“The most courageous and brave warrior we’ve ever known and probably will ever know.
“We already miss him so much.

In an Instagram story Keith also shared a photo of his dad on the guitar and wrote: “My hero, my idol, my dad.”
Keith was inundated with messages from friends as people shared their condolences, including a message from Brian McFadden which read: “What a fighter” What a man!”
Ronan Keating added: “Sending all our love.”
Thom Evans wrote: “So sorry for your loss Keith. Sending my sincere condolences to you and all the family.”
RIP.IE, which shares obituaries based in Ireland online, says that Sean died peacefully on January 8, 2022, surrounded by his loving wife and three sons at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown.
The obituary stated that his removal will take place on Thursday to Glasnevin Crematorium arriving for Service at 2pm. The family have requested the house be private.
It also read: “Sean, beloved husband of Patricia (Pat) and dear father of Derek, Keith and John.
“Sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, sisters Carmel and Margaret, daughters-in-law Rose and Lisa, brothers-in-law, grandchildren Jordan, Mia, Ailbhe, Tadhg, Lily and Dylan, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.”
Keith previously spoke about his concerns about his parents during the first lockdown in 2020 and, at the time, said his dad was in a “poorly condition”.
He told The Sun at the time: “Before the pandemic he was stuck at home for a few weeks and with the extra weeks of the pandemic he is starting to go stir crazy.
“I think he is looking forward to getting out of the house and go for a walk, you know.”
Keith was happy to see his family when lockdown restrictions started to lift, and, according to RIP.IE, Keith was able to be with his dad in the hospital as they said their goodbyes.
