BBC Breakfast meteorologist Owain Wyn Evans left fans entranced on Sunday as he shared a sweet snap alongside his rarely seen doctor husband.
The star took to his Instagram Stories to share the sweet post, in which Owain could be seen bundled up in a light blue waterproof coat and a black-and-grey striped scarf, while his husband Arran Rees snuggled down in a mustard wool hat and beige jacket.
Owain and Arran were enjoying some much-needed time together at National Trust property Quarry Bank Mill in Cheshire, where hit TV period drama The Mill was set.
The pair were surrounded by lush greenery and trees as they posed up a storm in the wintery wonderland.
Owain rarely shares snippets of his personal life on social media, but he couldn’t help celebrating his hubby’s achievements back in September last year, when he earned his PhD.
The weatherman shared a sweet snap of the pair enjoying cocktails in a bar, with Owain’s arm around Arran’s shoulder as they both beamed at the camera.
Owain explained: “Congratulations to my wonderful husband @arranjrees who is now… Dr Arran Rees!
“The last 4 years really have flown by, and tonight we raise a glass to his PhD!” with a row of kisses.
The pair regularly enjoy time outdoors together, and even went hiking in the Lake District during a very rainy summer 2021.
Owain could be seen rocking an orange waterproof jacket over a checked brown shirt, while Arran opted for a red-and-black waterproof look under a cream coat.
In celebration of Arran’s birthday, Owain wrote: “Happy Birthday to the incredibly handsome and also very clever @arranjrees. Here we are celebrating last week in a very rainy Lake District!”
It comes shortly after the news that Owain has landed his own chat show on Welsh language channel S4C.
Owain’s Talking Shop – or Siop Siarad Owain in Welsh – began last Friday, with Owain announcing on his social media page: “The talking shop is OPEN!
“So excited to be hosting my own chat show on @s4c for the next few weeks! Tune in tomorrow (Friday) at 2100 on S4C or @bbciplayer for Siop Siarad Owain (Owain’s Talking Shop).
“I’ll be welcoming @alexandraroach1 and @nigelrefowens as my fabulous first guests. Subtitles available for non Welsh speakers!”
