Emmerdale spoilers: Meena's grisly murders covered up by Sam Dingle in harrowing twist

Emmerdale ‘s Sam Dingle is set to accidentally help serial killer Meena Jutla stay hidden for longer as he will cover up her crimes in next week’s episodes.

Emmerdale spoilers have revealed that the allotment will be damaged, which Leyla Harding and her son Jacob go to visit to check on the extent of it.

Neither of them notice Meena’s trinket box, which is buried nearby, but the damage causes the box to be just about visible as it sticks up from the earth.

Later, Sam works on the allotment to try and improve it and inadvertently shovels dirt across the trinket box, accidentally ensuring no one else will find it.

Fans know that Meena was keeping mementoes of each murder in the box, which would have exposed her as a secret serial killer who has bumped off several residents of the Dales already.

Meena’s latest target is her sister Manpreet, who she took hostage after she finally worked out that her sister had committed murder.

Evil Meena drugged her sister and kept her tied to a bed before seemingly attacking her.

Both Manpreet and Vinny are at risk of Meena’s wrath and the evil killer could be plotting her next kill – but can they be saved?

Meena’s exit has been confirmed by the soap star, as she recently said about her character: “I will miss everything because I love her. I think she’s hilarious, she’s got so much charisma, she’s so strange, she is just odd and everything about her.”

Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, she said: “She’s so weird and it’s so much fun to play such a weird character.

“Gong to those dark places is really fulfilling but then there’s that slightly comedic edge which is always fun.

“I love her flamboyancy. I think everything about her I’ll miss.”

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm on ITV.
