Dancing on Ice's Sally Dynevor tearful as she says she 'doesn't know if she can do this'

Sally Dynevor has swapped the Cobbles for the ice rink as she appeared on Dancing on Ice after years of ITV bosses begging her to take part.

The Coronation Street star confessed she’s always loved the show and often sits in the audience – but for years she couldn’t bring herself to take part.

Sally has confessed to having a lack in confidence, particularly when it comes to her own abilities on the ice.

In a clip which showed a preview of the Corrie star during a training session, Sally was seen crying as she questioned whether she could do the show.

Speaking to her professional dance partner Matt Evers, she cried and said: “I don’t think I can do this.”

He stopped her in her tracks as he said: “Yes you can, you totally can. If I didn’t think you could, I’d say, ‘Girl, go home’.”

Before she headed on, she said: “I’m never going to be Torvill or Dean… I’m just going to be Sally, and she’s going to do her very very best.”

Fans were left bawling over Sally’s stint before she even appeared on the show, with one user writing: “Oh Sally my heart.”

Another wrote: Sally’s reasons for giving Dancing on Ice a go is having me well up already.”

Sally had told the camera that she wanted to take part in the show to act as a role model for her daughters to be brave and pursue anything they put their minds to.

As she took to the ice, Sally looked nothing short of glamorous in a beautiful blue playsuit and her hair curled in a subtle and luxurious style.

Although she had a slight stumble, viewers were still absolutely loving her – and judges were impressed with her first appearance on the show too.

While her performance left fans impressed, others were utterly gobsmacked at how glamorous the 58-year-old was looking.

Taking to Twitter, one person wrote: “Omg our Sally! She looks 22 years old! The way she glides around the ice. Sally to win!”

Another added: “Omg! Sally looks amazing!”

A third person chirped: “Sally looks fine.”

She gave an impressive first performance and still managed to get a score above 20 from the judges.

Dancing on Ice returns Sunday at 6:30pm on ITV.
