BBC Breakfast's Sally Nugent disgusted by Dan Walker's strange toilet confession

BBC Breakfast presenter Sally Nugent was left revolted on Monday (January 17) as her co-star Dan Walker made a rather strange toilet-based confession.

The pair were chatting to sports correspondent Holly Hamilton about Australian snooker player Neil Robertson’s incredible win at the weekend when the discussion arose about a sweet picture he’d taken with his family to commemorate the occasion.

As they chatted about the commemorative snap, Sally chimed in: “Lovely photo!”, as Holly added: “A great family photo to add to the collection!”

Which is when Dan baffled his co-stars by interjecting: “Stick that on the toilet wall.”

Sally and Holly collapsed into giggles, with Sally asking: “What?!”

Holly quizzed him: “The toilet wall? You have a family photo in the toilet?” as Dan replied: “No?”

He went on: “No, I don’t, but you could do! Our toilet’s not big enough, there’s not enough space in there.”

Holly laughed: “Big family, is it?”

“No, the toilet’s not big enough,” Dan reiterated, as Sally asked: “Shall we stop?”

“I’ve wandered down a very weird corridor,” the Strictly Come Dancing star admitted, red-faced by his odd confession.

Holly laughed: “Talking about your toilet, for some reason. Don’t know how we got there!”

Dan splurged: “Just put it in the house somewhere!” and quickly turned to Carol Kirkwood for the weather update – as a hysterical Sally said: “Oh, I’ve missed you!”

The pair had been separated while Sally took a brief break from the show – with fans ecstatic to see her return.

Dan first announced the news on his social media pages, posting a sweet selfie of the pair – which was set at a jaunty angle – together, as Dan penned: “She has returned!!! Lovely to have @sallynugent back on the #bbcbreakfast sofa. We’re here until 9:15 and the picture on your telly won’t be so wonky.”

“Reunited!” Sally chimed in.

On her own page, Sally shared: “Lovely to be back with @mrdanwalker after a few days away. Have I missed anything?”

BBC Breakfast airs from 6am daily on BBC One.
