Former Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher shocked viewers on his BBC One show Kelvin’s Big Farming Adventure after marking his launch episode by fondling a sheep’s testicles
The new show sees the Oldham-born star get used to farming life on his newly purchased 120-acre farm on the edge of the Peak District national park.
With the help of expert farmer and neighbour Jilly, fans watched the star face a number of problems including missing pet rabbits, sheep escaping and wife Liz who is highly allergic to horses.
But one task in particular left viewers shocked.
As the 38-year-old attempted to shave a sheep’s bottom of matted fur, neighbour Jilly blurts out: “Have a feel of his nuts,” to which he replied: “I don’t wanna feel his nuts. Why do I need to feel his nuts?”
“Just so that you know where his nuts are,” replied Jilly, as Kelvin’s wife Liz appeared hysterical in the background
Viewers of the show took to social media to comment on the unpleasant task.
“I’m loving Kelvin Fletcher’s wife smugly telling him ‘it’s your dream’ while creasing herself in the background,” one said.
Another said: “Kelvin’s missus stood there laughing her head off, coming out with ‘he needs to toughen up!’ Hahaha. You just stand there love.”
The Strictly Come Dancing champion’s new show has received mixed reviews since its debut episode, with many dubbing it a “rip off” of Clarkson’s Farm.
One wrote: “How much does Kelvin Fletcher want to copy Jeremy Clarkson with his new farm?”
Another posted: “People saying the BBC make quality programming. On BBC1 right now is a Prime Video Jeremy Clarkson The Farm rip off with Kelvin Fletcher.”
A third commented: “Kelvin Fletcher as the new Jeremy Clarkson is not something I expected to see.”
“So basically Kelvin Fletcher is trying to jump on the Clarkson’s Farm bandwagon. Unoriginal and dull,” another added.
The soap star, who played Andy Sugden from 1996 to 2016, moved there with his wife and their two young children Marnie and Milo last year.
However many fans gushed over the star’s new lifestyle, and wished Kelvin and his family all the best in their new venture.
One wrote: “Quite enjoyed this tonight, be interesting to see how it goes. Pretty soon you’ll have a shop like Jeremy Clarkson.”
Another posted: “Watching this has made me laugh. Wishing you and your family all the best in your new farming life. Can’t wait for the next episode.”
