Piers Morgan has taken aim again at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and blasted them for, he claims, deserting their duty.
Harry, 37, who lives in America with his wife Meghan, 40 and their two kids Archie and Lilibet said it is unsafe to enter the UK without specialist police protection.
He is now stuck in a legal battle with the Home Office over a decision not to let him pay for police protection for his family when in the UK.
Harry’s actions have been called out by Piers, 56, who vocalised his opinions and feelings in his comment section in The Sun.
Piers claimed the the Prince was “behaving like a shameless, deluded, woefully entitled hypocrite.”
He added: “Runaways who’ve deserted their duty… Harry and Meghan aren’t real royals anymore, they’re just another pair of Hollywood celebrities on the make.”
Piers then labelled Harry a “petulant prince”, continuing: “If he goes through with his threat, it will be the first time any royal has ever sued Her Majesty’s Government, and, of course, causes the Queen yet another massive headache at the worst possible time.”
Piers said: “Since they quit Britain, Harry and Meghan have proven themselves to be only interested in one thing: making as much money as fast as possible by ruthlessly exploiting their royal status.”
Prince Harry and his family had lost their taxpayer-funded security when they left the Royal Family in 2020 and moved to the USA for their new lives.
Piers, who empathised with the Queen, highlighted his animosity towards Harry and Meghan.
He said: “The timing of it is so appalling as well – she’s lost her husband, she’s got this awful situation with Andrew, and now her grandson, who has been baiting the Royal Family all year, has now popped up from his mansion in California to say that when he comes back to the UK, he wants to have the British police protect him.”
