Strictly's Giovanni Pernice replaced as partner by Rose Ayling-Ellis as dancer reacts

Strictly Come Dancing host Janette Manrara was left confused after Rose Ayling-Ellis and other stars changed their dance partner for a tour rehearsal.

Janette was filming backstage on the Nationwide Arena Tour as Tilly Ramsay, who will be partnered with Nikita Kuzmin, started practising the Waltz with Johannes Radebe’s partner John Whaite.

Then Rose, who is partnered with Giovanni Pernice on the show, joined John to help him master the dance, as Maisie Smith, who is paired up with AJ Odudu, danced with The Wanted’s Max George, whose pro dance partner is Katya Jones.

Tilly was also seen on the floor with Rhys Stephenson.

A baffled Janette said in the clip: “What is actually happening? The couples have all gone mad. They’ve all swapped around.

“It’s the craziest partner swap ever.

She added: “Oh Rhys, what a lead. Oh John, as well.”

It is not known what led to the couple’s swapping their dance partners for the rehearsal for the Strictly Come Dancing Live UK Arena Tour, which runs from Thursday until February 13.

Judge Craig Revel Horwood revealed to HELLO! Rose is “most definitely continuing to have an impact on the tour”.

He said: “It’s fantastic that there will be a BSL signer at every show. This is the way forward. All entertainment should be inclusive in that way and we’re really proud that we’re doing it.”

Craig added: “We’re going to be doing Symphony again because that was just amazing. It will be really special, especially seeing it in a huge vast arena where the music is pumping and loud, then suddenly it goes silent. It’s going to be awe-inspiring, I can’t wait.”

The first show on 33-date tour is in Birmingham.

The tour will visit many major UK cities including Leeds, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Manchester, Sheffield, Liverpool, Glasgow and Nottingham.

It will conclude in London at the O2 Arena, with five shows on Friday February 11, Saturday February 12 and Sunday February 13.

All of these venues will have a mix of matinee and evening performances to suit all schedules.
