Celebs Go Dating fans were left stunned when Chloe Brockett’s date revealed himself to be Sir Captain Tom Moore’s grandson.
During the E4 show’s latest episode TOWIE’s Chloe, 21, and 5ive star Abz Love, 42, went on a double date with two potential love interests.
Towards the end of the episode, Chloe potential suitor and date, Max, admitted that he’s the grandson of the late Sir Captain Tom Moore, who’s charity working during the height of the pandemic made headlines.
Captain Tom was a British Army officer and fundraiser who raised more than £30 milllion for the NHS in the run-up to his 100th birthday during the peak of the pandemic.

Speaking about his family on the show, Max said: “Over the last year and a half, two years, we got closer due to like…
“So basically, it’s a weird story but my granddad got extremely famous in the first lockdown.
“You know Sir Captain Tom Moore? So that’s my granddad.”
After finding out about the confession, Chloe humorously added that her date was more famous than herself and Abz.
She said: “So basically, you’re more famous than me and Abz!”

Viewers of the show took to social media to voice how stunned they were after the confession was made.
One tweeted: “Is that Captain Tom Moore’s grandson? #CelebsGoDating.”
Another said: “Dead at Abz from Five going on a double date alongside a man later revealed to be Captain Tom’s grandson. #CelebsGoDating.”
In May 2020, Captain Tom then aged 99, was knighted.

A month into the first lockdown in 2020, Tom captured the hearts of the nation by starting a lockdown walk around his back garden with the help of a walking frame.
In total, Tom raised and handed over £38.9 million to NHS Charities – the most raised by one person.
The hero then passed away in 2021 at the age of 100 after a battle with Covid.
