Michelle Keegan 'to take acting break' after filming for Brassic finally concludes

Michelle Keegan is expected to have a long-awaited break from acting when filming for Brassic wraps up at the end of this week.

The 34-year-old actress has been working back-to-back over the years and it’s been reported that she’s planning a well-earned rest.

The former Coronation Street star, who currently plays Erin Croft in hit Sky show Brassic, has just shot seasons three and four.

With filming wrapping up this week, Michelle will be taking time out before starting her next project.

A source told The Sun: “Michelle is one of the hardest working actresses in the country. She has been non-stop over the last year and hasn’t really had a breather.

“It hasn’t been easy filming during covid times, there have been lots of stops and starts so everything has taken longer.

“She barely had any time off after Our Girl before she started Brassic, but is expected to take a little step back before she announces her next big project.”

Michelle hit stardom when she graced her way onto the cobbles as Tina McIntrye in ITV’s Coronation Street back in 2007.

The hardworking star has since been a frequent face on many popular British TV shows.

Michelle has also appeared in critically acclaimed dramas such as Ordinary Lies and Our Girl, even taking on the role of Tina Dean in Tina and Bobby – an ITV bipoc based on West Ham footballer Bobby Moore’s relationship with his wife.

Michelle, who is married to TOWIE star Mark Wright, has been travelling back and forth between Manchester and London for filming and has reportedly been living in a hotel as work is completed on their £1.3 million mansion.

Mark, 35, and the former soap star have been building their dream home from scratch since buying the original property back in October 2019.

The pair tied the knot in 2015 and admitted they can’t wait to host when their dream house is complete.

In an interview, Mark said: “We’re definitely excited about entertaining our family and friends there. It’s not going to become a party destination because it’s our home, but family barbecues and entertainment moments, for sure.”
