Coronation Street fans are in for a ride next week when the ITV soap brings even more drama for the residents of Weatherfield.

There’s the next chapter in Max Turner and Daniel Osbourne’s ongoing feud – but it could be the final one as Max is left injured.

Asha Alahan makes a big decision about her future that could see the end of her relationship with Nina Lucas.

But Nina takes things into her own hands and comes up with a drastic plan to try and get Asha to stay in Weatherfield.

It’s all happening for the residents of Coronation Street.

In Monday’s episode, Asha (Tanisha Gorey) confides in brother Aadi (Adam Hussain) and Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) that she wants to apply to Glasgow University.

But she’s worried that it could be too far from home, and she’s not keen on leaving Nina (Mollie Gallagher) when she’s feeling so vulnerable.

Asha confesses to dad Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) that she’s having second thoughts, and he guesses it’s because she doesn’t want to leave Nina.

He hands Asha a guidebook for Glasgow – but will she ever make it there?

Asha hostage twist

Nina locks Asha in the café so she can’t go to Glasgow

When Nina spots the prospectus in Asha’s bag, Nina puts on a brave face and tells her to have a good time in Glasgow.

But when she discovers there are floods expected in Glasgow, Nina admits she’s worried about Asha’s train ride with Roy Cropper (David Nielsen).

Soon, Asha calls in to the café to see Nina before she goes to Glasgow, but Nina takes her phone.

Asha is shocked when she realises Nina has pocketed her phone.

Nina refuses to let her go to Glasgow and even locks the door to the café to stop her from going.

Asha is left stunned.

Lydia (Rebecca Ryan) suggests to Daniel (Rob Mallard) that he should teach the lads in the workshop about feminism, but Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) isn’t keen.

Daniel is pleasantly surprised when Max (Paddy Bever) turns up and suggests he’s gone because of dad David Platt (Jack P Shepherd).

Max asks David about Daniel’s comment, and he’s left uneasy.

David realises that he’ll have to tell Max about what happened to him, but he is furious with Daniel for putting him in that position.

Later, David apologises to Max.

Max swipes the keys to Daniel’s flat from Dev and lets himself in, going about smashing things up.

He accidentally breaks a clay imprint of Sinead’s, Daniel’s and Bertie’s hands.

Daniel returns home to find his flat trashed and sees Max emerge from the bedroom.

He shoves Max out of the door and the lad trips and falls down the stairs.

Later, Mrs Crawshaw summons Daniel to the school and accepts that he didn’t push Max.

She tells him to apply for a permanent position at the school when his placement ends, leaving David and Shona (Julia Goulding) fuming.
