Lorraine viewers were left divided on Friday morning after the presenter opened the show in a heated dressing gown.
Dressed in the grey robe, Lorraine Kelly quickly became the talk of the town online as fans took to social media to debate her morning attire and whether the concept of a heated gown was a good idea.
Sharing her thoughts, the breakfast host appeared happy with the garment, but viewers at home were split.
Taking to Twitter one fan wrote: “That heated dressing gown would be more trouble than it’s worth, go to toilet, let the cat out, make a drink, get the crisps, go to the toilet again you’d be unplugging and plugging in all bloody night.”
Another agreed and said: “Heated dressing gown my a**. Get out of bed get dressed give your housemaid the day off and do some housework.”
However, another fan was in favour of the robe and wrote: “Heated dressing gown? Yes please!”
Discussing the heated loungewear, fashion editor Jo Elvin told Lorraine that she definitely approves of the fashionable piece.
Jo said: “It’s a fashion editor approved heated dressing gown from Aldi!
“Why not for a cosy Friday morning?”
Lorraine replied: “You know what my bottom is very hot.”
Joe responded: “Well I’m very pleased to hear that Lorraine.”
She continued: “Nine temperature settings on this Aldi dressing gown. Nine time options with overheating protection.”
Looking uncertain about the plug attached the robe Lorraine suggested that Ria Hebden gave it a go, as she may need it for her rehearsals for Dancing On Ice.
Although some viewers were critical about the new fashion item, this wasn’t the only clothing piece that some viewers were sceptical on this week.
On Tuesday, Lorraine introduced a new sleeveless jacket named the “slu-vet” which raised several eyebrows amongst fans.
Jumping on Twitter, one viewer wrote at the time: “The absolute STATE of the clothes on #lorraine. Have I gone insane or do people actually LIKE these outfits??? Horrif.”
While another commented: A duvet coat on #lorraine you can keep it. Bloody hideous.”
