Danniella Westbrook has shared a throwback photo showing her at the 2009 TV Quick and TV Choice awards.
The former EastEnders actress, who played Sam Mitchell, posed alongside her on-screen brother Phil (actor Steve McFadden) in the stunning snap.
Danniella wrote next to the pic: “Can’t wait for all my surgery to be done… will be back too my best and fighting fit and next year I will be 50!
“Bring it on… I’m ready… More than ready, I’m ready for a full transformation physically.
“I’ve spent a lot of time alone the last six months. I’ve been working on myself and my spiritual side has already begun evolving.
“I’ve cut the deadbeats and energy draining people out of my life. And I am ready to get busy living… And busy working. I have a feeling it’s all going to work out just fine.”
Danniella looked radiant in the photo, with long blonde hair, smoky black eyeliner and a stunning backless dress.
She played fiery Sam Mitchell on and off between 1990 and 2016 – and there were recently unconfirmed reports that EastEnders bosses may be considering recasting the role.
Taking to Instagram again, Danniella said: “EastEnders have not contacted me to say they are recasting or if they have, but that’s ok.
“Whoever plays Sam next, I wish all the luck in the world to them. Enjoy.”
Danniella also recently confirmed that she was back in hospital.
The actress had previously been taken to hospital last November after falling ill with a sinus infection and underwent a surgical procedure last year.
She had previously told fans that she was anticipating another round of surgery to tackle her sinus infection this year, though it’s unclear whether this is the procedure Danniella is referring to in her recent post.
Danniella has been open about her battle with substance addiction both as an adult and in her childhood, with the former Celebrity Big Brother star admitting she tried drugs for the first time when she was 14 years old.
