Drew Barrymore claims she was in an 'open relationship' with Luke Wilson

Drew Barrymore has opened up about her past romance with Luke Wilson.

The Hollywood actress, 46, shared she was once in an “open relationship” with Owen Wilson’s brother.

Drew, who has been on the showbiz circuit since she was a child, has often been candid about her past relationships and former partying antics.

And the US talk show host opened up about her relationship with Luke Wilson, 50, on her popular self-titled programme, The Drew Barrymore Show.

Leaving the studio audience stunned, Drew spoke to fellow child star Kate Hudson about their “young and wild” days back in the early noughties.

“When we first met we were young and wild,” Drew told Kate, 42, as they recalled first meeting at a restaurant called Chez Jay in Santa Monica, California.

The stunning actresses both remembered how Luke Wilson was present when they first met at the swanky eatery.

“You were doing Alex & Emma together I think,” Drew said of the 2003 rom-com film, which saw Hudson and Wilson star alongside each other.

Drew added: “And I was dating him, but I think he was also dating other people.”

Barry then went on to explain that the duo were both in “an open relationship”.

“We were young,” she then added.

And it seems the successful women don’t just share a history in Hollywood, as Kate then admitted: “I’ve been there with a Wilson too.”

Page Six reported Barrymore and Wilson began dating in the late nineties while Hudson dated Luke’s older brother Owen after they met while starring in 2006 film, You, Me and Dupree.

Drew explained: “It‘s so fun because when you’re young, you’re like, ‘It’s low-stakes,’ we’re just young, we’re having fun, we’re all playing, acting, hanging out.”

She added that while she and Hudson weren’t taking anything too “seriously” back then, they had the “best time” together.

Daily Star has contacted Luke Wilson’s spokesman for comment.
