Masked Singer’s Traffic Cone ‘exposed’ as famous comedian after expert spots dance clue

Fans of The Masked Singer have been trying to figure out the identity of Traffic Cone for weeks – but an expert may have finally cracked the code.

That’s because body language buff Inbaal Honigman thinks it could be famous comedian Michael McIntyre who is hiding behind the hefty orange outfit.

The hit ITV show, hosted by comedian Joel Dommett, sees judges Rita Ora, Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan try to work out which celebrities are hiding behind their quirky costumes.

Each week, the disguised stars take to the stage and sing famous songs – and the public are given new clues about the stars behind the mask.

Traffic Cone has sent fans wild with theories of who it could be, ranging from singer Rick Astley to Neighbours legend Jason Donovan.

However, body language expert Inbaal Honigman took a closer look at the cone-shaped character’s behaviour, and she unearthed some juicy insights about their personality.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, Inbaal revealed that the celebrity is an “open book”.

She said: “His hands work in unison with one another – most of the time, he’ll point with both hands, clasp both hands to his heart, flex both hands into fists at the same time.

“This shows someone who’s quite upfront – what’s in his heart is what’s outside, he’s an open book and doesn’t have skeletons in his closet.”

Inbaal reckoned the star lacks a dancing background due to their “clumsy” dance moves and “dad dancing” tendencies, but they do seem to know their way around a stage.

“His few dance moves, however dorky, also show how he works in coordination between his logic and his emotion. He’s got a few ‘chugga chugga’ moves, some ‘come here’ finger gestures, all are equal, left and right.”

She said: “His hand gestures are not very dancey… there’s a very marked difference between the graceful hand movements of his backing dancers, and his own clumsy moves. This is not someone with a history of dance, and possibly not even a musician.

“He doesn’t seem to know what to do with his hands, and so we’re treated to a good amount of “dad dancing”. At times, his fingers shuffle against one another in a clear display of discomfort. He’s at home on the stage, but not in the role of a musical leader.”

In fact, Inbaal noticed Traffic Cone moves around the stage like a “stand up comedian” – Michael McIntyre – and appears to love people.

She continued: “His feet are fully committed to his wedding-guest dance moves, and there is no toe tapping, no rocking to the beat, just a pair of feet planted firmly on the ground. A bit of walking. Like a stand up comedian! An Emcee or a radio DJ.”

“He’s using a lot of open, welcoming arm gestures. A lot of sweeping movements, which shows that he loves people.”

There are several instances of hand-on-heart gestures, which shows that he operates from the heart.”

The body language whizz also picked up on the fact that Traffic Cone is “delighted” and excitable in front of the judges.

They also seem to love a laugh – a key sign that it could be funny-man Michael behind the mask.

They said: “When receiving compliments from the judges, he is unabashedly delighted, bouncing and cheering, jumping for joy. He appreciates positive attention and loves a laugh – his cute reactions to the panel show how much joy he takes in all that he does.

“If this isn’t Michael McIntyre, then it’s someone very like him.”

Traffic COne has performed three songs on the show – Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up, Sarah McLachlan’s When She Loved Me, and Take That’s Want You Back.

So far, we’ve seen four stars unmasked on the show – Bagpipes, Snow Leopard, Chandelier and Lionfish.

Bagpipes was unveiled as tennis player Pat Cash, Lionfish was revealed as Pop Idol singer Will Young, Snow Leopard was Loose Women panelist Gloria Hunniford, and Chandelier became M People star Heather Small.
