Stephanie Davis had 'panic attacks' and 'insomnia' during terrifying stalking ordeal

Hollyoaks star Stephanie Davis has revealed she was left with ‘panic attacks’ and ‘insomnia’ while she was being pursued by a ‘terrifying’ stalker.

The actress, 28, appeared on Monday’s episode of This Morning, where she opened up to presenters Phillip Schofield and Rochelle Humes about her recent stalking hell.

On Friday, Stephanie’s stalker Alex Boston was sentenced to 28 weeks in prison for stalking the Over The Rainbow star from April 2020 – July 2021.

The 43-year-old was also issued with an indefinite restraining order which prevents him from contacting Stephanie or approaching her home.

On This Morning, Stephanie labelled the ordeal “horrifying”.

“I struggle with my mental health anyway but when that happened, my anxiety was through the roof.

“I couldn’t relax. I was constantly having panic attacks.

“I couldn’t sleep. Every time I heard a noise, I was literally up panicking. I kept checking on [my son] Caben. It was horrendous.”

During her appearance on the ITV show, Stephanie also revealed that she feels “relieved” her stalker has been jailed, adding that she thinks it will take “a while” for her to process the ordeal.

She added: “I feel relieved.

“I’ve slept for the first time in a long time. Still, I think it’s going to take a while… that’s going to take a while, I think.

“I think I’ll be always looking over my shoulder for a while but yeah, I’m relieved.

“I’m glad that justice has been done and I can move on from it now.”

This Morning airs at 10am on weekdays on ITV.
