Lorraine Kelly welcomed a guest fashion presenter onto the ITV show on Tuesday, with fashion expert Gayle Rinkoff appearing for the spring fashion segment.
Mark usually presents the fashion advice sections, but appeared to be having a day off as Lorraine welcomed Gayle onto the show.
It is not unusual for Mark to not host the fashion segment, as Lorraine has previously had Louise Redknapp onto the show to show off her fashion tips.
As the guest presenter welcomed five models onto the set in a number of gorgeous spring dresses, fans were left confused by her pronunciation.
As she welcomed her final model onto the stage in a long dark green dress which was perfect for a day out, she called described the colour as khaki.
Fans took to social media to share their confusion, claiming she was saying it like “car keys”.
One posted: “Car key. Its cark ee,” adding a laughing face emoji.
Another added: “Is kar key a new colour??”
A third chipped in: “Where’s Mark?”
A fourth said about the selection of dresses: “Step into spring… Who was the lady presenting this slot on Lorraine?! Pls tag her dress and boots.”
Meanwhile, Lorraine was the victim of an awkward technical malfunction as she did a crossover with Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain earlier in the morning.
As Lorraine said good morning to the pair, no sound came out of her mouth but was eventually heard as she got halfway through her sentence.
Viewers managed to hear Lorraine say: “Susanna, we’re taking inspiration from you because we’ve got the best celebrity-inspired dresses to see you through until the spring.
“Look – Susanna, Helen Mirren – two effortlessly elegant goddesses.”
Trying to clear up the confusion, Susanna said to her: “Sorry, we didn’t hear your very opening words. Can you rewind? What did you say right at the beginning?”
Lorraine quickly brushed off the blunder as she replied: “Ben Whishaw is going to be on.
“You know how he’s Q in the 007 movies? He’s also in this brilliant medical drama tonight, it’s fantastic. So he’s going to be telling us all about that!”
Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV.
