Tanya Bardsley and husband Phil 'offered' own reality show after dramatic RHOCH exit

Tanya Bardsley may be preparing to share her own documentary but she and footballer husband Phil are being headhunted by TV bosses for their own reality TV show.

The former Real Housewives of Cheshire star, 40, has shared aspects of her life with views of the hit ITVBe programme but made the decision to walk away at the end of series 14.

Now, she’s preparing to go it alone as she launches her own documentary focusing on her ADHD after being diagnosed aged 39, after doctors had been treating her for anxiety.

But, Tanya confirmed to me that she and her husband Phil, 36, could be set to become the UK’s Kardashians with their own reality show.

Speaking exclusively at the world premiere of pal Wayne Rooney’s film, Rooney on Amazon Prime, the former singer and model told me: “We’ve had an offer for a reality show of our own, not a documentary.

“I’m actually doing a documentary about ADHD which Phil is going to be featured in so that’s going to be on ITV soon, probably about autumn.”

After sharing her ADHD diagnosis on The Real Housewives, she admits that she was worried about going public with her news.

“I was really scared, I was scared people would just think I was some sort of weird nutter but every single person has just been so positive” she confessed.

The mum-of-four continued: “It’s been really helpful for young mums who have found out their kids have got ADHD and they can see I’m thriving, I’m fine and learning to live with it.

“The medication didn’t help me whatsoever, it made me more manic, you’ve just got to do what everybody knows you’ve got to do – exercise, drink water, eat your vegetables.”

Discussing her final season of the ITVBe programme, she explained: “I was completely broken but thanks to my husband, he’s a good rock, I’ve been a nightmare for him.

“It was so hard to make the decision [to leave] because I love the crew and everything about it but I had a mental and physical breakdown.

“I had to remove everything toxic from life which was from arguments with lots of ladies to alcohol,” before admitting that she had hints of anxiety after deciding to remain sober at the premiere.

“I love drinking, it’s five hours of fun for five days of hell for me, so it’s not worth it for me.”

The former singer and model joked that being a football wife and mum is “cold work”

Despite Tanya being a football wife, she’s now also become a football mum with her two sons Rocco and Renz taking up the sport.

She laughed: “It’s hard work, it’s cold work, I’m always cold, I’ve done football three times this week.”

Addressing the Rooney film that focuses on his life as well as the highs and lows of his marriage to Coleen, Tanya said: “We’re just big friends and fans of Coleen so we pretty much know everything.

“They’re such an amazing family, I’m looking forward to the public seeing how amazing they are and what horrible things they’ve had to go through.”
