Emmerdale fans thrilled as Meena returns and teases 'death' in tense wedding cliffhanger

Emmerdale fans were delighted to see the return of serial killer Meena Jutla in the latest episode.

Friday’s show saw Meena (Paige Sandhu) make her long awaited return to screens as she continued to evade justice for her crimes.

The cunning nurse lurked in the shadows while Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) and Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) made amends and could later be seen hatching an evil plot against the couple in a church, with the deranged murderer vowing to ‘teach them a lesson’.

“Till death do you part,” she said and smiled as the credits rolled.

Emmerdale viewers were elated to see the character back on screens.

Meanwhile, a fourth added: “It’s got to be said, the actress playing Meena is playing a great part in Emmerdale. The cliff-hanger to tonight’s episode in the church was brilliant!!”

“I’ve gone from wanting the Meena storyline over to being glad she’s back.. loved that little ending scene just now,” a fifth viewer concluded.

Meena had been skulking around undetected for the majority of the episode and ended up in the church ahead of Billy and Dawn’s big day.

As she danced around holding a red rose, Meena meanly labelled former prostitute Dawn a “village bike” and Billy the “village idiot”.

She also said aloud: “Did you honestly think you could do this? To me? Do you Meena Jutla solemnly swear to teach them a lesson?”

She concluded her chilling solo monologue and said: “Have your wedding! Make your vows!

“Till death do you part.”
