Laila Rouass, 50, announced that she has split from her partner of nearly 10 years, snooker legend Ronnie O’Sullivan, 46.
She took to Twitter to confirm their split as she wrote a brief statement.
It read: “After nearly ten years of love and memories, Ronnie & I have parted ways. Peace & love to you all. Laila X.”
She provided no other comments but was immediately inundated with support from fans, as one person wrote: “Hope you’re okay,” while another added: “Sorry to hear this, genuinely. Hope you’re okay Laila.”
Laila’s announcement comes less than 30 minutes after she told her Instagram followers that she would be rearranging her Instagram live which was due to take place Wednesday evening.
She wrote: “Hi all. I was supposed to do a live tonight at 7:30pm but something has come up and I’ll have to reschedule. Apologies.”
Last night, Laila seemingly still had the intention of doing the live as she reminded fans about it and teased the content which would follow.
Ronnie is yet to make any official statement on the split.
The pair started dating in 2012 and were engaged in 2013, but the pair are reported to never have married.
In 2019, Laila said that their marriage plans were on the back burner and they were “really enjoying” their time and said there was no rush to wed.
Ronnie added: “It becomes a bit more important as you get older for legal reasons but for now we’re OK. If something’s not broke, why fix it? If it’s working, why change a winning formula?
“We’ve been engaged for a while now, so we know we want to be with each other, I’m sure we will get round to it.
“We’re very casual and laid-back about the whole thing anyway. When it happens, it will happen. I love her, I love her company, I admire her.”
He praised his ex as “good for me in many ways” as they hoped for a wedding a few years down the line.
Sadly, the pair have now parted ways after a long decade together and a nine year engagement.
