Naga Munchetty wanted to do all that she could to help out a fellow BBC Breakfast colleague with a desperate plea.

The TV star 46, who has over 265,000 followers on Twitter, used her platform to support her peer who was trying to track down a sentimental item.

Nadia Dahabiyeh, a BBC Breakfast producer asked her own fans to help with finding her niece Sophia’s favourite teddy which had been lost on the London Underground.

Nadia’s tweet has now been shared over 9,000 times and online users seemed incredibly keen to reunite the teddy back with its rightful owner.

Sympathetic parents and bear owners alike flooded the comments section with their own near scares and photos.

Along with a picture of her daughter with her companion, one parent said: “We lost panda at Whitby Cathedral after walking down the 99 steps. Luckily we drove up there and found him at a picnic table. My 7 year old takes him everywhere. Fingers crossed for Ted.”

“My oldest friend feels your pain and sends hugs,” added another bear owner.

Others thought they’d use the popular post to help with lost and found items.

Including a picture of a little brown bear, a third user wrote: “Popping this little fella on this timeline. I found him by the road in Devon. Just incase someone is looking for him. He’s safe and warm with me.”

While others sent well wishes: “Edward D, on an adventure in Mexico, sends best wishes to Sophia and hopes Teddy finds her soon.”

After the post had created some traction online TfL did reach out to Nadia to ask her to complete a Lost Property claim in hope of finding her nieces best friend.
