Celebs Go Dating agent wants to sign up Sarah Ferguson as first royal on Channel 4 show

Celebs Go Dating star Anna Williamson revealed she wants to sign up Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, for her hit Channel 4 dating show.

The TV dating guru, who coaches celebs on the E4 dating series, says Fergie is a “huge character”, so the public would be ‘fascinated’ to watch her search for love on the show.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star at her London book launch, Anna spoke about the duchess and how she thinks the royal would get on if she ever made an epic appearance.

When asked if she had any dream she’d like to star on the show, she answered: “Yes, I would like Fergie, Duchess of York.”

Speaking about how she thinks the duchess, 62, would get on with the dates, she replied: “I don’t know! I think everyone would be fascinated.”

She went on to say that cheeky comedian narrator Rob Beckett would “have a field day” with her.

Rob is known for roasting celebs with his one-liners – especially when they embarrass themselves in front of the camera during a date.

Anna added: “She’s a huge character. She’s royalty. I mean, what more do you want? Rob Beckett would have a field day with her.”

Sarah is the former wife of Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, and they share their two children – Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

The established romance author has already teased reality TV stints in the past, so maybe a dating show isn’t out of the question.

Last year in August, she suggested she’d be up for starring on Celebrity MasterChef when she appeared on The One Show.

She joined the green sofa as she had recently published her latest novel, Her Heart for a Compass.

Welsh host Alex Jones said: “I think you fancy it, secretly.”

Sarah replied: “I’m up to any challenge, really.”

Alex’s co-star Gethin Jones had revealed Sarah was only one email away from joining the BBC cooking show.

Sarah had nodded her head, saying: “yeah, yeah, yeah.”
