Ryan Thomas' daughter joining Waterloo Road as brother Adam Thomas' on-screen child

Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas has confirmed his daughter Scarlett is set to join Waterloo Road to play his brother’s – Emmerdale star Adam Thomas – on-screen child.

Ryan is best known for playing Jason Grimshaw on the ITV soap, while Adam played Adam Barton in Emmerdale until 2018.

Previously, the supportive brother boasted about his sibling’s success as he prepares to reprise his role as Donte Charles on the BBC drama.

In the upcoming series, fans can expect to see Donte and his partner Chloe Grainger back on screen once again but this time they aren’t alone as Scarlett makes her debut role as their daughter Izzy.

The TV legend appeared on Monday’s (21 February) edition of Morning Live as he shared the exciting news with co-hosts Kym Marsh and Gethin Jones.

Full of excitement, Adam said: “I can’t believe I’m saying this, I feel like I’m working for Marvel as I can’t say too much about what’s going on but what I can tell you is that my little niece Scarlett Thomas is going to be joining the cast of Waterloo Road.”

When the Welsh heartthrob asked how it would be filming and working with his niece on set, Adam replied: “I really don’t know, but if you’re a fan of the show Donte and Chlo had a baby called Izzy many moons ago and she’s now grown up and my little niece gets to play her.
