Fans of The Chase were left stunned on Tuesday afternoon after a player came on the show who previously appeared in Doctor Who.
Natalie, who hoped to win big on the popular ITV show, revealed to presenter Bradley Walsh that her choir once appeared on BBC’s sci-fi series.
Divulging further, the player also revealed that she took part in the show when actor David Tennant was the Doctor.
Sharing their astonishment online, fans of The Chase rushed to the comment section to share their views.
One fan penned: “Dr Who choir woo interesting.”
Another asked: “Doctor Who has a choir?”
While a third impressed viewer chimed: “Natalie can sing for me anytime.”
But one fan wasn’t best pleased with the fact that another person who had an entertainment background appeared on the show.
The person wrote: “Why is it 90% of the people who get on this show are into am-dram, theatre or music,it supposed to be a QUIZ, totally biased towards show business kind of people, there’s hardly EVER any normal #keyworkers on #hgvdrivers ,#fixed @ITV.”
Natalie seemed to do very well for herself as she managed to gain £7,000 in the cashbuilder round and was the last person remaining on her team.
However, when faced with chaser Jenny Ryan, Natalie lost her cool.
When presented with the higher offer of £80,000, Natalie decided to take for the middle proposition which left fans at home fuming as they believed she had nothing to lose.
Natalie also mentioned that taking £80k would be “greedy” which seemed to infuriate spectators even more.
Taking to Twitter, fans shared their thoughts on the contestant’s decision.
One person wrote: “Go big or go home, £80,000.”
Another person commented: “Disappointing choice Natalie. It’s not about being greedy.”
A third said: “The top offer is greedy?!!! Why come on the show if that’s how you feel??”
“No, the middle offer is greedy in this instance because you deny the others a chance at a grand,” a fourth added.
Although she did go for the safer option, Natalie wasn’t able to hold her nerve and was caught by Jenny in lightning speed.
With no players making it through to the final, Jenny was tasked with trying to gain £1,000 for each team member by herself.
However, this was also a tough job and Jenny managed to wipe the floor clean with the players once again.
