Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor back together after splitting up five years ago

Hollywood actor Ben Stiller has got back with Christine Taylor back after splitting up five years ago.

The Meet the Parents actor, 56, revealed the news to Esquire and shared that their romance blossomed after he moved in with her and their kids during lockdown.

Ben and Christine, 50, decided his move into the family home would be the best choice for them, as it would be the only way he’d be able to see his children during the lockdown.

He shared that then “over the course of time, it evolved” and how they are beyond happy with the news.

The couple share two children together – a daughter, Ella Olivia, 19, and a son, Quinlin Dempsey, 16.

Ben told the publication: “I think we have a respect for the ways that we’re similar and the ways we’re different. And I think accepting that, you can really appreciate someone more because you’re not trying to get them to change for you.

“Once you accept that, you save a lot of energy. ‘This is something that works for me; this is something that doesn’t work for me.’ If you have that trust level with your partner, you know that me saying ‘I don’t like doing that thing’ is not me saying ‘I don’t like you.'”

In May 2017, the couple announced that they were going separate ways in a joint statement to PEOPLE.

This came 17 years after they tied the knot in Kauai, Hawaii.

The statement read: “With tremendous love and respect for each other, and the 18 years we spent together as a couple, we have made the decision to separate. Our priority will continue to be raising our children as devoted parents and the closest of friends. We kindly ask that the media respect our privacy at this time.”

The couple have reportedly always been on good terms and often attended showbiz events together as a family, with their kids in tow.

An example of this was when they were spotted holding hands during an outing to see the Pretty Women musical in 2018.

The pair always made sure to continue to support one another and do their best to co-parent their two children, despite having parted ways romantically for a while.
