Ex On The Beach’s James Moore has been cleared of all charges after he appeared in court over posting footage of an ex girlfriend on the adult site Pornhub.
The 30-year-old, denied that he had been responsible for sharing the video which ended up on the adult website that showed the woman performing an oral sex act on him.
Moore also claimed that he had no interest in uploading the snippet to Pornhub as he wouldn’t receive any money for doing so.
He did however confess that he had shared the video in question onto his OnlyFans profile – a paying adult subscription site – but claimed this was with the consent of the woman.
Speaking at Preston Crown Court he explained to the judge and jury: “She said I could put it on.
“I’m sure at the time she said ‘you can put it on as long as you share the profit with me’.”
Moore also explained that as soon as he had realised that she had not been pleased with the video, he immediately removed the content from his OnlyFans page.
He added: “Because I’m a respectful guy.”
The woman however insisted that the footage had been intended for “his eyes only” as she accused Moore of sharing the video on Pornhub.
Giving evidence behind a screen, she said: “I would have said no.
“I’m not like that as a person, I don’t want anybody to see me naked or to see me doing personal stuff.”
She urged: “James made me feel like it was a normal thing to do and that it was safe in his hands. It was for us. It was for him. It’s not for anyone else.”
Prosecutor Jane Dagnell told the court that the woman’s new partner had been sent a link to the Pornhub clip via an unknown person on Instagram.
It was at this point that the woman alerted the police claiming he’d shared the video without her consent and he was later arrested.
The woman did admit that she had granted Moore permission to film her performing an oral sex act on him.
The jury deliberated for 20 minutes before they delivered a “not guilty” verdict to the court.
Moore was cleared of disclosing a private sexual photograph or film without the consent of the individual who appeared in it with the intention of causing distress; a crime commonly known as revenge porn.
The TV star is best known for appearing in the 2016 series of MTV’s Ex On The Beach of which he appeared in all eight episodes that season.
