Pierce Harris’ son Marcus has caused quite a stir ever since he rocked up in Emmerdale several weeks ago, with fans eagerly wanting to find out who his mother could be.
The young man who was summoned to the village by Rhona Goskirk has been trying to make sense of his father’s death and the will that Pierce created before he died.
But although some villagers are now aware that Pierce had a son, not much has been mentioned about his mum.
Sharing their thoughts online, one viewer seemed to think that Marcus’ mum could be Tess Harris who previously had an affair with Leo Goskirk’s step-father Paddy Kirk.
Jumping onto Twitter, one curious fan questioned: “Is Marcus Tess’ son?”
Tess was Pierce’s first wife – so it does make sense that she could be related to Marcus by blood.
Tess first appeared in the village in 2015, but the character who was played by Nee Merton, didn’t last in Dales very long.
In 2016, Tess passed away after she was accidentally run over by Kirin Kotecha while he was drink driving.
On Monday night’s episode of Emmerdale, Marlon finally discovered the truth about Marcus and was left devasted when Rhona revealed all to him.

Clearly distressed by the revelation, Marlon lashed out at Rhona, leaving the veterinary surgeon questioning whether their relationship still had a chance.
While in the street an angry Marlon voiced his concerns once again, reminding Rhona that Pierce abused her and also killed someone.
But as Marcus witnessed the couple squabble, he later told Marlon to not take things out on Rhona as she wasn’t aware that Pierce would leave her money in his will.

Sharing their thoughts online, Emmerdale fans reacted to Marlon’s outburst on Twitter.
One person penned: “Marlon is such a sap that’s why all his relationships fail. Is it any wonder Rhona didn’t tell him? He’s crazy.”
While another said: “It’s little wonder that Rhona kept quiet…Marlon just does not know how to deal with real issues.”
But if the Tess theory is true, how will Marlon take the news and will he turn on his best mate Paddy?
