Kate Garraway appeared on The One Show to talk about her new programme Your Body Uncovered with Kate Garraway.
The new BBC 2 show will marvel at how incredible the human body is and show people with real-life health issues see what is really going on underneath their skin.
Talking about the new show, which airs on Wednesday (March 2), Kate said: “All of these people who we went on this journey with, they had big decisions to make and they were frightened of making them.”
She then laughed and added: “It was originally going to be called Kate Garraway’s Body Uncovered.
“I was like ‘please don’t, no one will put that on BBC 2 at 8 o’clock!’
“It would be like watching Dr Who through your fingers.”
The GMB star continued: “My body is not uncovered in any way but lots of other people’s are and they’re great examples of very serious things abut also those niggling things that really impact your life.”
The One Show host Alex Jones then concluded the segment and said:” Your Body Uncovered with Kate Garraway.
To which Kate then interjected: “Yes, with Kate Garraway…”
Alex then joked: “That’s a whole different series which I would love to see – it starts tonight on BBC 2 at 8 o’clock.”
This comes after Kate opened up about how she won’t be able to afford her husband Derek Draper’s 24-hour care fees forever.
On Thursday (February 24), the GMB presenter joined This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield as she gave an insight into her upcoming documentary Caring For Derek.
With a long road to recovery still ahead of him, the mum-of-two spoke candidly about his future as she continues to provide round the clock care for him since he contracted Covid-19 and suffered major complications.
She told ITV viewers: “I don’t believe we can have 24-hour care forever, you know, there’s a point where money runs out.
“It’s a big moment and I was thinking, ‘This isn’t sustainable’. And if there isn’t the structure there to help long-term, what are we actually going to do?”
