RHOCheshire's Tanya Bardsley 'visualised' footballer husband before his first text

Real Housewives of Cheshire star Tanya Bardsley has said she “visualised” her husband Phil Bardsley before he ever messaged him.

The former glamour model and reality star is married to professional footballer Phil after they tied the knot in 2014, and they have three sons together – Rocco, Renz and Ralphi.

And Tanya, 40, reckons the universe sent her the hunky sportsman – even though she “kept telling him to f*** off”.

The former ITV star said: “After I visualised Phil he texted me, saying ‘my name is Phil Bardsley’, on my Nokia 3310.

“The universe was sending me this guy. But I kept telling him to ‘f*** off.'”

The star, who also has daughter Gabriella from a previous relationship, got that life-changing message from Phil in 2005 after he saw her on the cover of lads’ mag FHM – however she wasn’t keen.

She said it was “because he was a footballer”, adding: “I Googled him and he was gorgeous and played for Manchester United so I thought he would be a player.”

But Tanya told Manchester Evening News : “God loves a trier and I gave him a go.”

While visualising her future man, Tanya said she “put down his qualities – loyal, athletic, the sporty type and really good with money”.

He needed to be funny too and, luckily, Tanya said: “Phil is hilarious.”

Tanya recently quit The Real Housewives of Cheshire after being one of the only remaining original cast members.

And she also announced that she was shutting her Cheshire boutique, which sold products such as candles and jewellery – and so-called positivity spray.

The shop will shut in March, five years after she opened the store and documented the process on the ITVBe reality series.

Tanya said that the store was closing as the “lease on our lovely boutique is coming to an end”.

She said: “We’ve made some incredible memories in our little shop and now we’re so excited to be moving in a direction that allows us to be able to visit more of you, with some incredible events and beautiful store pop ups planned around the country!”

Products will still be available on Tanya’s website though.
