Connor Ball's gruesome Dancing on Ice injury left Holly Willoughby 'nearly throwing up'

Dancing On Ice star Holly Willoughby admitted feeling “sick” when she saw Connor Ball’s horror injury after his fall last week.

Holly, 41, worked alongside her co-host Phillip Schofield on Sunday’s (March 6) show as she looked back to his tumble on the ice which led to him needing 19 stitches after he badly cut his leg.

Reminiscing about the moment she saw the damage to The Vamps stars limb holly confessed she couldn’t help but feel queasy.

As they got ready to introduce Connor for his latest performance Phillip set the scene for viewers.

He said: “He’s been tripped up, stitched up, he’s next up, last week when Holly saw his injury she nearly threw up!”

Laughing at the remark, Holly replied: “That’s right. I nearly did.”

Speaking about his fall Connor said: “I don’t really remember any of the judges’ comments because the whole thing was a blur.

“I went off to go see the medics and I lay there in my boxers with a pirate’s wig on getting stitched up.

“I think in total I’ve had 19 stitches, which I think is a Dancing on Ice record.I definitely think I’m someone that will just keep going no matter what the circumstances.

“This Sunday we’re going to come back fighting.”

To the delight of viewers, Connor and Alexandra made it through their performance this week unscathed.

Following their performance, Phillip and Holly chatted to Connor about his injury.

Phillip said: “Holly and I made the mistake of looking over the balcony and you were being stitched up.”

Holly chipped in: “Oh, it’s horrible,” as Phillip agreed: “That was gruesome.”

She then admitted it won’t be slipping her mind any time soon adding: “Can’t forget that!”

Fans took to Twitter to congratulate Connor on his quick return to the competition.
