Jade Thirlwall has shared her ultimate “Sex And The City moment” as she updated her loyal legion of fans with her latest career move.
Since the chart-topping girl group Little Mix announced they were taking a break from the group to pursue more solo projects last December, the 29-year-old has gone on to work with a range of companies away from her music career.
Over the past three months, she has gone on to drop her own eyeshadow pallet in collaboration with makeup giants Beauty Bay and even appeared on various talent shows including RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.
But on Monday (7 March), the brunette beauty took to her Instagram account to share her latest career update as she continues to step away from the music industry.
On her Instagram Story, Jade shared a sweet selfie alongside singer and actress Nicole Lecky ahead of the launch of her new drama series Mood which follows the life of one aspiring singer attempting to break into the music industry.
But she’s not the only one who is set to make their TV debut as one third of the girl band confirmed she would be making an appearance on the show too.
And she shared the news with her 8.7million followers online as she captioned the snap: “Had a Geri in Sex And The City moment with my own cheeky cameo in new series MOOD.
“Congratulations to the multitalented and very lovely @thelecky on a fantastic show – check it out [black love heart emoji] #MoodSeries @bbcthree.”
The highly anticipated TV series dropped on BBC iPlayer earlier this month, and it’s clear to see the show has already got fans talking after the six-part series was compared the award-winning BBC series Fleabag.
Viewers can expect to see the series explore a number of interesting subjects, including the world of online influencers, sex work, hustle culture, colourism and homelessness and also features an original soundtrack from the leading lady herself.
It comes after the songstress came under fire after she took a cheeky swipe at former bandmate Jesy Nelson when she appeared on last week’s instalment of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Vs The World.
When RuPaul, 61, asked Jade what the difference was working with the competitors compared to her group members, she said: “It was just the same really.
“I bossed everyone around and there’s an ugly rumour going around that one of the girls is leaving the group tonight.”
