Piers Morgan shares first trailer for new show as he says he was forced to leave GMB

Piers Morgan has released a trailer for his brand new show – and admitted he was forced to leave Good Morning Britain.

The global News UK TV show is called Uncensored, and will broadcast on TalkTV in the UK, FOX Nation in the US and on Sky News Australia.

Discussing the launch of his new show, Piers claimed he was “forced to leave a job [he] loved” after the blazing row with GMB weather presenter Alex Beresford.

He said: “A year ago today, I was forced to leave a job I loved, at the peak of its success, for having the audacity to express an honestly held opinion.

This shouldn’t happen in any democracy supposedly built on the principles of free speech and freedom of expression.

“I’m delighted to now be returning to live television with a new daily show whose main purpose is to cancel the Cancel Culture which has infected societies around the world.

“I want it to be a platform for lively vigorous debate, news-making interviews, and that increasingly taboo three-letter word: fun. I also want it to annoy all the right people.”

The trailer begins with Piers watching back his epic GMB strop, with his final words echoed around him before launching into an explanation of the new programme.

His announcement comes a year to the day after claims he made about the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, saw him storm off the ITV set.

Since leaving, Piers has asserted that he stands by his words and still doesn’t believe her when it comes to claims about the Royal Family asking about her son Archie’s skin colour, and about having suicidal thoughts.

He came under fire from mental health charity Mind at the time, with his co-star Susanna Reid also telling him: “That’s a pathetic reaction to someone who has expressed those thoughts.”

News UK’s Executive TV Editor Winnie Dunbar Nelson said of Piers: “Piers Morgan is a fearless journalist and broadcaster with an unmatched ability to engage audiences internationally.

“With Piers Morgan Uncensored, we’ll be doing something genuinely new – a daily show created for a global audience.”

News UK has confirmed that everyone in the UK will be able to access TalkTV – live or on-demand on their TVs or personal devices.

It will offer “a mix” of “news bulletins, sports and entertainment shows, as well as current affairs, debate, opinion and documentaries”.

It will star a range of journalists and broadcasters from brands including Virgin Radio, The Sun, The Times and talkRADIO – with a news show hosted by Tom Newton Dunn.
