Mark Page has been found guilty on four counts of child sex crimes.
The former Radio 1 DJ and Middlesborough football stadium announcer was handed a guilty verdict on four counts of child sex offences, and not guilty on one.
It came when the radio broadcaster, 62, appeared at Teesside Crown Court on Wednesday (March 9).
The 62-year-old was charged with five counts of arranging the commission of a child sex offence – arranging the sexual exploitation of a child in the Philippines.
Page had previously “vehemently denied” the allegations against him, TeesideLive reports
Thanking the jury, the judge said: “You have carried out your duties as jurors in an exemplary manner. You have shown super devotion to your job.
Page was cleared of one charge but found guilty of the remaining four and will be sentenced on Thursday (March 10).
Announcing the sentencing, the judge said: “I will be passing sentence on Mr Page in the morning at 10.15. If any of you wish to attend you can of course and will be allocated a seat in the courtroom.”
The broadcaster is currently remanded in custody until his sentencing tomorrow.
Page previously told the court he lost his 25-year career with Middlesbrough FC after police turned up at his home with a warrant in January 2020.
The radio presenter used to work for Radio 1 back in the 1980s, and he also worked as a stadium announcer for Middlesbrough FC.
Henri Brandman, Page’s solicitor, said his client strongly denied the alleged offences and would defend himself against the charges.”
In a statement last year, he said: “Mr Page vehemently denies the alleged offences and will vigorously defend himself against the charges.
“He has had business, military and charitable interests in the Philippines for a number of years.”
Following an investigation lead by Cleveland Police, the Crown Prosecution Service recalled how they were able to quickly piece together the huge amounts of digital forensic evidence to dispel his claims that he had been hacked.
Once the officers confiscated his personal computer, they were able to attribute a multitude of fake profiles used in these offences back to him.

CPS spokesperson, Oriana Frame said: “The actions Make Page took to contact and make arrangements for the sexual abuse of children show that he is a dangerous predator.
“He believed hiding behind fake accounts protected him from the discovery of his heinous crimes.”
She went on: “We hope that the convictions against him today serve as a warning to any others attempting to arrange the sexual abuse of children online.
“There is always a digital trace of your actions and, where such evidence is discovered, we will work closely with the police to robustly prosecute those involved.”
Between 1983 and 1986, Page was the presenter of the BBC Radio 1 early weekend breakfast show.
He started out radio presenting on BBC Radio Cleveland in 1975 and hosted the breakfast show on Radio Tees from 1978 to 1983.
When Pat Sharp left Radio 1 in 1983, Page was offered the 6-8 am slot on weekend mornings, he titled the show Me Mark Page.
