Hollyoaks villain Ethan Williams was back up to his old tricks during his latest visit to the village.
He recently put pressure on Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) to hide some stolen cash and a necklace until he made things right with his boss.
Meanwhile, Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) was facing increasing financial strain due to loans he’d taken out.
He turned to his pal Sienna for cash but she refused to help him.
Ste spotted the bag full of cash but Sienna caught up with him and managed to convince him to not cross Ethan and his dodgy bosses.
While Ste returned the money, he slipped away with the stolen necklace to pawn for extra cash.
However, Ste’s decision to flog the necklace had serious consequences.
He bumped into Ethan during Wednesday’s first-look episode on E4, who told him that he’d killed Sienna as a result of her loosing the necklace.
Ethan later took Ste to The Loft where Sienna’s pink jacket was on the floor covered in blood.
As a heartbroken Ste sobbed as he scrubbed the floor, Ethan was seen raising a glass of champagne to Sienna back at the flat.
Fans of the Channel 4 soap rushed to their keyboards to discuss the latest storyline.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Sienna’s always been messed up.”
Another added: “Ethan and sienna playing Ste, bless him.”
A third person posted: “Has Ethan met his match in Sienna.”
While a fourth social media said: “Ethan is so savage.”
Towards the end of the episode, Ethan could be heard saying: “You have to be able to trust the people around you but finding those people seems to get harder and harder.
“And then you think is there anyone you can totally trust other than yourself.
Sienna later came into view of the camera and told Ethan: “One thing you can trust, I always have the best schemes.”
As a montage of how Sienna prepped her own murder scene played out as she explained to Ethan: “Earlier on today Ste said I was a good person and that is exactly what I’ve tried to be for so long.
“It always felt like I was pushing up a hill but now in this world with the risk, and the games, it’s like a downhill rush. And I guess that what it’s like giving into your true nature.”
Grabbing his glass, Ethan asked Sienna: “What shall we toast to?”
Sienna replied: “How about me being your 50/50 partner from now on. Come on, today I proved that I’m ready.
Ethan responded: “I’m not looking for a partner, especially one I can’t trust.
She hit back: “Come on Ethan, you’re not that a big of a threat that you think you are, not without my smarts, and trust me I’m a better ally than enemy. Especially with everything I know about your business.”
“Is that a threat? Ethan asked before adding: “You’re playing a dangerous game, Sienna.”
Sienna answered: “At it happens those are the ones I like the best.”
Fans will have to wait and see what Ethan and Sienna have in store for Ste.
